This year Gucci celebrates five years of giving to UNICEF by commissioning author, illustrator and fashonmister Michael Roberts to create a sequel to his 2004 chidrenâs book Snowman in Paradise named Snowman in Africa. âMichael Roberts did not hesitate for a moment when I invited him to collaborate on our 5th anniversary project to benefit UNICEF,â says Gucci Creative director Frida Giannini. âNow with his wonderful Snowman in Africa, we are able to continue making a difference to the many children whose lives will improve because of UNICEF’s great work.â This book will be available in Gucci stores and on its official website from November 16 to December 31 with a price of $50. All the proceeds will denote to UNICEF. Moreover, Giannin is planning to release first issuing cards and a series of accessories featuring Robertsâ playful pictures in parallel with the lauch of Snowman in Africa, pricing from $50 to $5,000. Among the accessories, Giannini has designed two medium-sided Joy Handbags. One is characterized with the cute picture of elephant and foliage and other is with snowman in the forest. The giving continues with 25 percent of the retail price of these items going to UNICEF.
